British Fashion Awards 2013

This Year, I had the privilege of attending the British Fashion Awards 2013 with the Founder of Fashion Strikes, Angela Udemba!

Held at the stunning London Coliseum, and hosted by a list of A-list fashion stars, the night was every bit as fabulous as you might imagine! Fashion’s finest under one spectacular roof, celebrating the very best of British talent, it was a night I will never forget!

The dress code for the evening was Black Tie and British and despite not getting the memo (Tickets arrived late!) my take on the evening was a more subdued look at black tie, with British inspiration; something that was reflected on the red carpet at last night’s event. Inspired by sixties Britain, I went for a monochrome theme in black and white dogtooth print crop trousers by Zara, suede sling back platforms by Steve Madden and a white shirt teamed with a padded cocoon coat from Topshop and a Jaeger bowling bag (a look I sported in my last blog post but hadn’t had the chance to wear out yet!)

NYC…

This Easter I ventured to the Big Apple for bright lights, good food and of course, SHOPPING. Since I’m a little delayed in starting this blog, I simply have to go back in time and tell you all about it. I stayed with a good friend Meagan, also known as Senior Designer at Ralph Lauren, in her gorgeous to-die-for apartment in Long Island City with high ceilings, huge wall-to-ceiling windows, and a jaw-dropping view of the NYC skyline. What more can you ask for than the perfect tour guide for all things stylish….

I landed at JFK late on Saturday night and woke to the delights of Easter Sunday in New York City. Ignoring the onset of jet lag, I dragged myself out of bed to check out the Easter Parade on 5th Avenue…

Summer in the City…

With Summer fast approaching (the sun promises to shine soon!) and sale signs in windows of some of the most chic stores in London, I figure it’s time to start blogging about where to find the best pieces for your S/S13 wardrobe!

I’ll start by saying that my motto when it comes to shopping is quality not quantity! You get what you pay for… that doesn’t mean to say you have to rule out high street brands, but instead I like to mix things up and transform what is your bog standard topshop dress that everyone is wearing to something unique by throwing a vintage jacket, a statement piece of jewellery or a designer handbag into the equation! And what better place to pick up those special pieces than in the Summer sales!

Here are my top sale picks that will transform your summer wardrobe…
